This Wednesday at Slovenska Kinoteka in Ljubljana, a very special screening bringing together two films in dialogue around memory, work, and the ways collective histories shape the present.
“Stitch the Ruin,” which traces fragments of memory, place, and history, moving through the fragile act of trying to mend what is broken while living with what cannot be restored.
Blum: Masters of Their Own Destiny by Jasmila Žbanić, revisits the legacy of visionary post-war industrial and social projects in Sarajevo, reflecting on how ideas of collective labor, dignity, and shared responsibility once shaped everyday life. The film asks what remains of that spirit today, and how the idea of building a common future continues to resonate or fracture in the present.
